While many are apprehensive about Tyson’s ability to compete at his age, Lennox Lewis, a former heavyweight champion and longtime rival of Tyson, has a different perspective.

In a recent interview with Boxing News, Lewisaddressed the concerns head-on, expressing that he’s more worried about Jake Paul than about Tyson’s health.
When asked about the dangers of Tysonstepping into the ring at 58, Lewis quickly brushed off the notion of his old rival being at risk.
“What are [people] concerned about?” Lewisasked, signaling his confidence in Tyson’sexperience and ring awareness.
“Mike Tyson knows how to defend himself, and he’s boxing against a guy that is not as good of a boxer as he is,” Lewis said.
He emphasized that despite Tyson’s age, his technical skills and ability to systematically break down his opponents still stand strong.
Lewis, who famously defeated Tyson in an 8th-round knockout in 2002, seems unconcerned about Tyson’s chances of surviving the fight.
Interestingly, Lewis’s main concern lies with Paul.
“I’m more concerned about the other guy than Mike Tyson,” he said, acknowledging that while Paul has gained attention for his knockout power, he’s still no match for someone as experienced as Tyson.
However, fans and experts alike are still concerned about Tyson’s health, especially given his history with sciatica, a condition that can cause numbness and even temporary immobility.
