Simona Halep received good news. The athlete from Romania received a new wild-card for the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo. It will take place between October 21 and 27.
According to Gazeta Sporturilor, Halep will play in the tournament with total prizes of 800 thousand dollars. This will be one of the last tournaments on the circuit this year.
Thus, for Halep, the return was slightly accelerated. Initially, she was supposed to play in Hong Kong, the tournament that starts exactly when the one in Tokyo ends. She received a wild card there as well, and her intention is to play in both.
