Simona Halep also sees the good sides of a year completely turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic. The WTA 2nd place holder spoke exclusively on the show “Așii Tenisului” about the satisfactions of 2020.
Simona won 13 of the 14 matches played after the resumption of the WTA circuit in August. Constanțanca prevailed in Prague and Rome , and at Roland Garros she stopped in the fourth round.
Simona Halep and the two great joys of 2020: “I feel fulfilled now”
In a special edition of the show Aces of tennis, Simona Halep spoke about the positive aspects of the second part of the year.
“What I can take for granted were two things: that I stayed at home more, with my family and friends. The second is that I won two titles.
One of the most important is the Rome title, which I really wanted. I had put a lot of pressure on myself because I hadn’t won it yet. Once I won it, I feel fulfilled that I have that beautiful trophy from Rome” , said Halep, during the Ace of Tennis show.
Halep ends the year ranked No. 2 in the world, thus ticking off her fifth season finished on the world podium.
