Simona Halep (29 years old, 2 WTA), who also talked about a possible career in coaching after she retires, would not be seen commenting on a tennis match.
The “Queen” from Wimbledon has her reasons why she thinks she would not be suitable to commentate on a tennis match. However, Halep does not rule out this possibility in the future.
Simona Halep: “I will ask for advice from my elders”
“Not really, I don’t like to talk and I don’t think I’m a suitable commentator for tennis. To some extent, I realize what is happening but it is harder for me to express myself. I like to watch tennis, I like to feel it but I don’t like to talk about it that much.
I don’t know if I would be able to comment, but maybe one day I will end up in this position. I will ask my coaches for advice. Never say never”,said Halep, during the show “Tennis Aces”.
Simona Halep: “There are two things I take good from this pandemic”
Simona won two titles in 2020 , and one of them made her happy to the maximum.
“The rhythm of life has been totally changed in 2020. I think I have adapted very well. What can I take good after this pandemic: I stayed at home more, with family and friends. The second thing is that we won two titles.
One of the most important is the Rome title, which I really wanted. I had put a lot of pressure on myself because I hadn’t won it yet. Once I won it, I feel fulfilled that I have that trophy” , said Simona Halep , for the show ” Așii Tenisului”, on Digi Sport.
