After a demanding match with Madison Keys, Iga Świątek said goodbye to the Australian Open final, in which the American ultimately defeated Aryna Sabalenka. The Pole lost after a fairly even and full of twists semi-final, after which she openly admitted that her opponent played better. Keys triumphed after a super tie-break 10:8.
A few days after the match, Świątek’s coach, Wim Fissette, spoke out. Unexpectedly, Daria Abramowicz commented on the Belgian’s Instagram post.

“A positive start to the year,” said the short Fissette, adding that the Pole will soon compete in tournaments in Doha and Dubai. Psychologist Świątek responded to his post.
Thank you very much for publishing my beautiful photo,” writes Abramovich, who referred to her — in her opinion — unfortunate photo posted on Instagram by the Belgian coach.
A few days after AO 2025, Iga Świątek also spoke out, claiming that she had finally “made friends with Australia”.
“The fight against jet lag continues, so I can sum up the last, very valuable weeks. It was certainly a great, solidly worked time. This year, Australia gave me more satisfaction, more colors and good experiences. You could say that we became friends,” wrote the world’s second rocket on Instagram.
Although I am of course dissatisfied with the result, realistically we know what a good job we did and where we are heading. It’s time to catch our breath after an intense preseason and start the ‘Middle East Swing project’. See you soon,” she added.
After losing the Australian Open, Iga Świątek will have a few weeks off. The Polish player will not play in the next two WTA 500 tournaments in Linz (January 27-February 2) and Abu Dhabi (February 3-8). This information was provided by our tennis player’s PR manager, Daria Sulgostowska, on Radio ZET. – The next tournaments in the starting calendar are Ad-Dauha and Dubai – she added.
