Fans have sparked concern for Tyson Fury ahead of his heavyweight title rematch against Oleksandry Usyk.
The Gypsy King is seeking to enact revenge on his Ukrainian opponent after having his undefeated record shattered as Usyk became unified heavyweight champion in May.
Fury has maintained a low profile as he continues to work through an intense training camp alongside trainer SugarHill Steward ahead of his rematch against Usyk on December 21.
His previous defeat saw Fury outclassed in the ring by Usyk who again delivered on his underdog status and displayed incredible athleticism to negate the pair’s height and reach distance.
However, this time round, some fans have been left concerned by Fury’s physique as he heads into the final stretch of his preparations for the bout.
In a recent post uploaded to Instagram, Fury showed off his current physique and captioned it: ‘Working my a** off to regain the championship.’
Despite appearing to be confident, many fans have been left worried by the picture.
One fan commented: ‘Fury ballooning up and down in weight down the years maybe has caught up with him, if Fury’s damaged goods he took a lot of punishment first fight. Flip-side on paper there’s still a massive size advantage for Fury if he can make it count.’
‘Fury has never been the ‘body beautiful’ type of fighter, but I have to say he looks awful here. I can see Usyk, whose fitness is never in doubt, stopping Fury this time,’ another wrote.
The Usyk rematch will be Fury’s third straight bout in the Middle East, with Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh heavily involved in organising the money-spinning contests.
And Alalshikh has recently revealed a shock opponent that he wants to bring out of retirement to fight Fury if the Gypsy King beats Usyk later this month.
