Roger Federer is the only man to win the Qatar Open three times, while five other players have lifted multiple men’s singles trophies in Doha.
There have been 25 different champions in the 32 previous editions of the ATP tournament, which was first held in 1993.
The Qatar Open, which is staged on outdoor hard courts at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, has been upgraded to ATP 500 category this year having been a 250 level event from 1993-2024.
Here are the six men who have won the Qatar Open on two or more occasions.
Stefan Edberg – 1994, 1995
Stefan Edberg won the second edition of the Qatar Open in 1994 with victories over Gary Muller, Andres Jarryd, Henri Leconte, Gilbert Schaller and Paul Haarhuis.
The Swede defended his Doha title in 1995 by beating Ronald Agenor, Adrian Voinea, Karim Alami, Leconte and Magnus Larsson.
Petr Korda – 1996, 1998
In 1996, Petr Korda overcame Filip Dewulf, Michael Stich, Larsson, David Prinosil and Younes El Aynaoui en route to winning the Qatar Open.
The Czech triumphed in Doha again two years later, when he earned victories against Olivier Delaitre, Lars Burgsmuller, Tim Henman, Andrei Medvedev and Fabrice Santoro.
Roger Federer – 2005, 2006, 2011
At the 2005 Qatar Open, Roger Federer did not drop a set in dispatching David Ferrer, Greg Rusedski, Feliciano Lopez, Nikolay Davydenko and Ivan Ljubicic to win his maiden title at the event.
The Swiss triumphed again in Doha without losing a set in 2006, when he defeated Ivo Minar, Santoro, Marcos Baghdatis, Tommy Haas and Gael Monfils to defend his crown.
Federer added his record third Qatar Open trophy in 2011 with straight-set wins over Thomas Schoorel, Marco Chiudinelli, Viktor Troicki, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Davydenko.
Andy Murray – 2008, 2009
Andy Murray downed Olivier Rochus, Rainer Schuttler, Tomas Johansson, Davydenko and Stan Wawrinka en route to claiming his first Qatar title in 2008.
In 2009, the Brit made it back-to-back Doha triumphs as he beat Albert Montanes, Philipp Petzschner, Sergiy Stakhovsky, Federer and Andy Roddick.
Novak Djokovic – 2016, 2017
In 2016, Novak Djokovic secured his maiden Qatar Open crown without dropping a set in victories over Dustin Brown, Fernando Verdasco, Leonardo Mayer, Tomas Berdych and Rafael Nadal.
The Serbian defended the title in 2017 by defeating Jan-Lennard Struff, Horacio Zeballos, Radek Stepanek, Verdasco and Andy Murray.
Roberto Bautista Agut – 2019, 2022
Roberto Bautista Agut overcame Matteo Berrettini, Guillermo Garcia Lopez, Wawrinka, Djokovic and Berdych in his 2019 Doha title run.
The Spaniard secured his second Qatar Open crown in 2022, when he saw off Murray, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Karen Khachanov and Nikoloz Basilashvili.
