Iga Świątek, in addition to her great successes in sports, also has other interests that fill her free time. Of course, she doesn’t have much of it during the season, but in between starts, the world’s first racket usually devotes herself to interesting reading. The 22-year-old has often mentioned her passion for reading. Thanks to it, she can relieve her mind of thoughts related to tournaments and pressure.
“Books are the best way for me to relax, right next to spending time by the water, and the best thing is to combine the two. When I don’t have time to read books, it’s the first sign for me that I’ve lost my balance and I need to take care of the right balance both in life and at work.” – Iga told “Tenis Magazyn”.
Iga Świątek’s painfully honest confession. “I felt less lonely”
Raszynianka wants to infect others with her passion. A few months ago, she came up with the idea of organizing a special challenge for her fans on social media. The leader of the WTA ranking revealed that in 2023 she plans to read at least 12 books. She encouraged Internet users to take part in the campaign and determine for themselves how much content they intend to “devour” this year.
” I discovered my love for reading at the age of 17. Books simply made me feel less lonely in this world. It was fun combined with spending time well and getting to know the characters I read about,” she confessed, quoted by the portal “sport.se.pl”.
Now the fans had the opportunity to get to know another “weakness” of the Polish representative.
