Joe Rogan makes brutal five-word assessment of Tyson Fury before Oleksandr Usyk rematch

UFC commentator Joe Rogan fears for two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Furyahead of his blockbuster rematch with Oleksandr Usyk later this month.

‘The Gypsy King’ will be desperate to avenge his defeat to the Ukrainian after Usyk handed the Brit the first loss of his professional career back in May following a split-decision victory in Riyadh. The two heavyweight stars will once again go toe-to-toe on December 21.

While Fury is in the final stages of his training camp and is no doubt itching to avenge his defeat, Rogan – a popular UFC commentator – has weighed in on the upcoming mouthwatering dust-up. The 57-year-old believes the British heavyweight sensation is ‘not all there anymore’.

Rogan believes the three fights with Deontay Wilder took its toll on Fury, and while the Brit never lost against ‘The Bronze Bomber,’ he still took a fair bit of damage. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan said: “Fury was terrified of Wilder’s power. He got dropped with a furious left hook; he got rocked in the eighth round. Bro, it’s the same thing you see in the Usyk fight. He’s not all there anymore. Those fights with Deontay Wilder took something out of him. 100 per cent.”

With just over a week to go until the pair face-off again, it appears as if Fury is going to make a significant change in his approach. According to talkSPORT boxing pundit Gareth A Davies, ‘The Gypsy King’ is aiming to come in around the 19 stone 7lbs mark (273lbs) – which is almost a stone heavier than he was for their first fight (18 st 10lbs/262lbs).

“When Tyson beat Klitschko nine years ago he was a 27-year-old, very light on his feet, he bamboozled opponents with those telescopic arms, his movement and tying fighters up,” said Davies. “That version went away in the three fights with Deontay Wilder, certainly the second and third fights where he became a bigger hitter at 19 and a half stone. I’m told internally from his camp that is where they intend him to be for Usyk in this fight, 19 and a half stone.”
