After an unsuccessful performance in the WTA Finals tournament, where she failed to advance from the group and defend her title, despite two wins, Iga Świątek faces new challenges. Although the tournament of champions usually ends the season, the Polish player still has two more tournaments to play
The world ranking vice-president has already reported to Malaga, Spain, where she will participate in the Billie Jean King Cup with the Polish national team. The Polish national team will face the Spanish team in a match for the quarter-finals. She is accompanied to the capital of Andalusia by psychologist Daria Abramowicz, among others.
Initially, Iga Świątek was not included in the list of players called up to play in the Billie Jean King Cup announced by the Polish Tennis Association on September 16. The tennis player herself announced the change of decision over a month later (October 22). She published a post on her social media profile in which she said that she would indeed take part in one more competition this season. They will take place in Malaga, Spain, from November 13-20.
