The boxing world was left stunned by Daniel Dubois’ dismantling of Anthony Joshua on Saturday night, with the win sending Conor McGregor wild in the crowd.
UFC star McGregor leapt from his seat and screamed loudly as Dubois floored Joshua on his way to a knockout victory. Footage of the moment was spotted by boxing fans and has since gone viral on social media.
McGregor watched the fight with an unlit cigar in his mouth as he sat next to his wife. He was positioned just behind Tyson Fury, who appeared to have a more despondent reaction to events
Fury appeared to turn away in disgust as fans around him rose from their seats to celebrate the knockdown. The 36-year-old waved his hands back and forth as if to say, “That’s it, he’s done.”
A possible face-off between Fury and Joshua has been floated on more than one occasion over the years but has never come to fruition. The former is already slated to step into the ring with Oleksandr Usyk in December, but is certainly well aware of the huge prize purse that would come from a fight against Joshua.
