After the exceptional course at the Parisian Grand Slam, Simona Halep was rewarded with a prize of 825,000 euros (about 1,127,000 dollars), totaling in her career 4.56 million dollars (2.52 million dollars only in the first five months of 2014).
Victor Hănescu accumulated in his career prizes worth 4.18 million dollars and, until Simona Halep’s performance last week, occupied the second place in the hierarchy of earnings obtained by Romanians in tennis, after the leader Andrei Pavel, retired player, who raised $5.22 million.
The 4th place in the “all time” earnings list is currently occupied by Sorana Cîrstea ($2.83 million), who surpassed Irina Spîrlea ($2.65 million).
