Świątek’s career has quickly gained incredible momentum. At the age of 21, the Raszyn native already has three Grand Slam victories under her belt, and has been the clear leader of the WTA rankings for over 8 months. Her talent has been known for a long time, but few people expected Iga to reach the highest level so quickly. At the beginning of the new season, she is the reference point for other tennis players. All players train to dethrone Świątek and take over the lead. The world first heard about the Polish player for good in October 2020 after a sensational triumph at Roland Garros. However, a year earlier, she appeared on the professional tour, where she quickly broke into the TOP 100, despite the fact that she combined her performances on the courts with her studies in high school!

Świątek ended her adventure with education for now after her 2020 final exams. That was when she officially received her secondary education, and she passed her final exam with flying colors. She passed the basic Polish language exam with 83%, and she didn’t make a single mistake in the math and English exams! Her extensions went a bit worse. She scored 96% in English, which she uses fluently on tour, and she passed math with 66%. She had hoped for more in this subject, but she still feels proud of her results. She told us about it after receiving her original certificate of completion… 14 months after the exams.
When, to put it mildly, you don’t have time and you receive your high school diploma 14 months after your final exams. But you’re still proud – Iga commented on social media. While writing her final exams at Autorskie Liceum Ogólnokształcące No. 42 in Warsaw, Świątek had just broken into the TOP 50 of the WTA ranking. A few months later, she won her first Slam, and when she received her certificate, she was already in the top “10”. Currently, there is no sign that she will fall from the leader’s seat and there is talk of her next Grand Slam triumphs. The 21-year-old has decided to focus on her career for now, but she does not rule out starting studies and obtaining a higher education in the future.
