Świątek’s victory over Angelique Kerber 6:3, 6:0 and Hubert Hurkacz’s defeat of Alexander Zverev 7:6 (7-3), 6:7 (6-8), 4:6 meant that the winner of the second edition of the United Cup had to be decided by the mixed doubles match, which the Polish team lost to the German mixed pair 4:6, 7:5, 4-10.

The Poles lost the first set 4:6, although it was incredibly even, and Świątek reached the heights of her abilities. The tennis player continued the White and Reds’ game and was not even afraid to enter into an exchange of plays with Zverev.
